The data of the statistics were corrected and the statistics were republished on 26 May 2020. Corrected earnings are higher than the previously released data: examined in general terms, the difference is at most EUR ten. In more detailed level data, such as data by occupation, the differences are as a rule a few dozen euros compared with previously published data. In addition, the numbers of full-time and part-time employees in the statistics are slightly lower after the correction.

The level of education

The level of education describes and follows mainly the structure of the school system, where education progresses in year periods from lower to higher levels of education. The classification is used only on the 1-digit level. The latest in-house classification of the level of education is used.

Field of education

Statistics Finland's Classification of Education is intended to measure school system education, that is, long-term, mainly full-time education leading to a qualification or profession provided in comprehensive schools, upper secondary general schools, vocational education institutes, universities of applied sciences and universities. Only the 2-digit level is used in the Classification of Education.
