In addition to fossil carbon dioxide, methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N20) emissions are considered in the coefficient. Nationally derived coefficients, i.e. coefficients based on greenhouse gas inventory calculation, are used in the calculation. In addition to the above mentioned, the coefficient takes into account fuel upstream emission factors (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1185, Table 3).
