Documentation of statistics The intensified or special support received by a pupil may comprise several forms of support, for example, both part-time special education, and special needs assistance and/or interpretation services. Corrected 28.8.2024: In the release in August 2023, the number of pupils in intensified support in 2022 was given as 79,177, the correct figure is 79,019. Similarly, the number of pupils in special support in 2022 was given as 55,544, the correct figure is 55,542. The number of pupils was also corrected, the correct figure is 563,135, the previously reported was 571,460.
