The data in the table are based on data on votes cast. The number of voters based on data on votes cast is not exactly the same as in the result data of the elections. There may be small differences by area in the numbers from different sources. The number of those who voted in the election result data is based on ballots, while the data on votes cast are based on entries made in the electronic voting register.

Persons entitled to vote are limited to persons entitled to vote living in Finland.
The numbers containing data on votes on the election day (all who voted in the areas) can be presented only from those areas where an electronic voting register was used in the polling stations on the election day.

Data on advance voting cover the whole country.

Data on votes cast in Parliamentary elections: advance voters, number = Data on votes cast from the number of advance voters. The numbers may differ from the election results. Data on votes cast in Parliamentary elections: advance voters, % = Share of advance voters among persons entitled to vote (persons entitled to vote/advance voters * 100). Persons entitled to vote (in the areas) in Parliamentary elections, number =Persons entitled to vote in those areas where an electronic voting register was used on the election day. Data on votes cast in Parliamentary elections: persons who voted in the areas, number = Data on votes cast from the number of all who voted in those voting districts where an electronic voting register was used on the election day. The numbers may differ from the election results. Data on votes cast in Parliamentary elections: persons who voted in the areas, % = Share of persons who voted among persons entitled to vote in voting districts where an electronic voting register was used on the day of the election (persons who voted in the areas / persons entitled to vote in the areas * 100). Data on votes cast in Parliamentary elections: coverage, % = Share of persons entitled to vote living in voting districts where an electronic voting register was used on the election day. On the voting district level the coverage is either 0 or 100 per cent, on the level of municipalities, constituencies or the whole country the coverage varies between 0 and 100 per cent. Area data:
The data are available on the voting district level. Data by voting district are summed up for the levels of municipalities, constituencies and the whole country.
If the electronic voting register covered under 20 per cent of those entitled to vote in a municipality and only one voting district, data on the municipality or constituency level are not presented. This applies to the following municipalities: Helsinki (KU091), Kotka (KU285), Kokemäki (KU271), Kangasala (KU211), Nokia (KU536), Varkaus (KU915) and the Helsinki constituency (VP01). Sex:
In the areas of persons who voted, data are not presented by sex on the voting district level. The data are presented by sex on summary levels (municipality, constituency, whole country).
