Documentation of statistics 1) The price level index describes the price levels of the selected group of countries at a certain point in time, calculated using a common commodity basket. The figures in the table are based on European Comparison Programme price surveys coordinated by Eurostat and OECD. Average price level of EU member states (EU27_2020) is depicted with the value 100. 2) Due to its withdrawal from the European Union, the results of the United Kingdom will be presented from 2021 onwards as part of the comparison coordinated by the OECD. 3) Statistics Finland updates the figures once a year, in connection with the publication released at the end of June.
