Correction 12.6.2026. The figures for employed persons, unemployed persons, and students/pupils in study circle centres for 2024 have been revised. The number of employed persons is 24,840 higher than previously published, the number of unemployed persons is 30,744 lower, and the number of students is 5,904 higher.026.

The table does not include data on compulsory education organised by folk high schools as liberal adult education (folk high school year for those of compulsory education age).
In 2024, data on one educational institution in the following location municipalities of educational institutions were not available:
Sports institutes (62): Lahti (398).
Folk high schools (63): Keminmaa (241), Liminka (425), Paltamo (578), Salo (734), Valkeakoski (908).
Adult education centres (64): Kiuruvesi (263), Mäntyharju (507), Turku (853).

Net number of students in liberal adult education
Net number of students means that the same person is counted as a student in one educational institution only once, even if they participated in more than one education in the educational institution concerned during the calendar year.
