Documentation of statistics - magnitude nil Until 2014, the types of education were education leading to a university of applied sciences degree for young people (now university of applied sciences degree, full-time studies), adult education leading to a university of applied sciences degree (now university of applied sciences degree, part-time studies) and higher university of applied sciences degree (Master). Prior to the release in 2023, the statistical population of the table was a university of applied sciences degree, full-time studies. The classification of type of education was added to the table in 2023:
- University of applied sciences degree, full-time studies
- University of applied sciences degree, part-time studies
- Higher university of applied sciences degree (Master)
- total (includes all three university of applied sciences degrees)

Start of studies

The time that has passed since studies were started in the review year. For example, in the statistical reference year 2021, the starting of studies 3.5 years ago describes persons who started studies in the sector of education in question in 2018.
