Documentation of statistics . missing Data in EUR have been given in the prices of the latest statistical year. Real estate tax is included in housing costs for income shares of housing costs and housing expenditure.
Data in euros have been given in the value of the latest statistical year:
Income concept: Household's disposable monetary income (excl. sales profits) and household's disposable income (excl. sales profits) after housing costs.
Consumption unit scale: Eurostat's equivalence scale (1.0 - 0.5 - 0.3). Real estate tax is included only in housing costs, but not in household disposable income in the income shares of housing costs and expenditure. The procedure causes a difference compared to the comparative data published by Eurostat, e.g. on the number of persons burdened by housing costs (housing cost overburden rate). Net housing costs do not include the actual housing costs of basic social assistance starting from the statistical reference year 2023. They are parallelled to housing benefits in line with the statistics on social protection and financing. The classification is based on the European System of Integrated Social Protection Statistics (ESSPROS).

Tenure status of dwelling

Tenure status of households main dwelling is grouped as follows: owner-occupied dwelling (own house, own share in housing corporation), rented dwelling (rented dwelling, right of occupancy dwelling or part-ownership dwelling), other tenure status (e.g. life annuity, kinship)

Low-income earner

Low-income earners (persons at risk of poverty) are considered those whose household's disposable money income per consumption unit (so-called equivalent income) is lower than 60 per cent of the equivalent median money income of all households.
