Documentation of statistics ... confidential Data in euros are given in the value of the latest statistical year.
Statistical unit: person (dwelling population).
Income concept: Household-dwelling unit's disposable monetary income (incl. sales profits) per consumption unit.
Consumption unit scale: Eurostat's equivalence scale (1.0 - 0.5 - 0.3).
Due to revisions to income concepts the figures for 1995 to 2009 and 2010 onwards are not fully comparable with each other.

Main income source of household-dwelling unit

The main source of income for a household is from wages, entrepreneurial income, property income, and transfers, which is the type of income from which the members of the household collectively received the most income during the year. It does not describe the activity of the person or household. If the main source of income was transfers, the source of income has been further specified according to subcategories of transfers. If the main source of income was housing allowance or income support, the household has been classified according to the second largest source of transfer income.

Dependency on basic social security

Entirely dependent on basic social security: basic social security benefits more than 90 % of gross income. Prolonged dependency: entirely dependent in four consecutive years.
