Higher education sector's statistical method new in 2011. Universities time use coefficients updated in 2021. The Tampere University of Technology and the University of Tampere were merged on 1 January 2019 into a foundation-based university called Tampere University.
The Register of Completed Education and Degrees has been supplemented with qualifications and degrees attained abroad, which increases the number of highly educated persons in 2019.
