Documentation of statistics Government sector: Government administrative branches, municipalities, other public institutions, and the private non-profit sector. The public sector includes municipalities from 2007 onwards.
The statistical method of the university sector was renewed in 2011. Universities' time use coefficients have been updated for years 2014, 2017 och 2021.
The data on the GDP share of R&D activities for 2023 and 2024 are preliminary.
R&D data for 2025: Estimate based on survey responses and other calculations. GDP for 2025: forecast by the Ministry of Finance.
Annual change in R&D expenditure in fixed prices has been calculated by price index of gross domestic product (2015=100)
