The contribution of the change in the quality of labour input is the effect of changes in the quality of labour force (age, gender, level of education) on productivity/the change in value added. The contribution of total productivity is derived as a residual when all other contributions related to the labour force and capital have been calculated and the change in productivity/value added is known. The contribution of intermediate consumption is the effect of the change in the volume of intermediate consumption on productivity/the change in output.
