Pre-primary education and open ECEC activities are not included. Group family daycare is included in family daycare.
Data for 1985 to 2020 are based on data from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, Statistics Finland and the Social Insurance Institution. Data since 2021 are from the Varda database of the Finnish National Agency for Education. The statistics also include the data on Åland, which are obtained from Statistics and Research Åland (ÅSUB).
