Change in the calculation method of the local government sector’s wage and salary earner data. Starting from the statistical reference year 2017, an inquiry for local government sector’s establishments, where data are collected on the location and staff-years of establishments of municipalities and joint municipal authorities, is separated from the inquiry on local government sector wages and salaries. Now local government data suppliers give their wage and salary earner data in staff-years, while earlier the data were calculated from numbers of employment relationships. Regional statistics on entrepreneurial activity include data about the establishments of enterprises operating in Finland by industry and area. The basic variables are the number of establishments, turnover, number of personnel and gross and added value of production.
