Documentation of statistics The user classification of the producer price index is based on the classification used by the European Union in her collection of electricity price data. Prices of electric energy are collected from sellers by catergory and then combined with the transmission prices published by the Energy Authority. Average prices (c/KWh) include transmission and sales of electricity as well as all taxes in effect at the time.
Prices for consumer categories K1, K2, L1, L2, M1 ja M2 are based on the public transmission and energy prices published by Energy Authority. Companies with the obligation to deliver are to publish their energy prices.
Prices for enterprises and communities (categories T5-T10) are based on prices of electric energy collected by producer price index and transmission prices published by Energy Authority.
The price of electricity for consumer groups K1, K2, L1, L2, M1 and M2 were estimated based on Statistics Finland's price collection from December 2019 to December 2020.
