Toimialaluokitus perustuu Tilastokeskuksen vuosien 1995 ja 2002 toimialaluokituksiin. Luokitusta on sovellettu pääluokka, 2- tai 3-numerotasolla (Tilastokeskus, käsikirjoja 4). TOL 1995 on käytössä vuosina 1995-2001 ja TOL 2002 alkaen vuodesta 2002.
Aikasarjan vertailukelpoisuus
Rahoituslähde: 1) EU-rahoitus eritelty vuodesta 1993 alkaen, sisältynyt aikaisemmin kohtaan muu ulkomainen rahoitus. 2) Oman konsernin ulkomaiset yksiköt (esim. ulkomaisen emoyhtiön rahoitus) on eritelty uudelleen vuodesta 2005 alkaen, sisältynyt vuosina 1999-2004 kohtaan kotimaiset yritykset omana rahoituksena.
