Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

When the type of productivity is labour productivity, the intensity of the capital type is = the number of capital services of the capital type per hour worked. E.g. ICT capital intensity = the number of capital services in ICT equipment per hour worked. Contribution of residential buildings. Residential buildings may not have a direct effect on productivity, but their effect should be specified because otherwise it would be part of total productivity calculated as a residual. The contribution of capital input is the combined effect of capital services of all different capital assets on productivity/the change in value added. The contribution of ICT capital is the effect of the change in the capital services of ICT equipment on productivity/the change in value added. The contribution of R&D capital is the effect of the change in the capital services of research and product development on productivity/the growth in value added. The contribution of machinery and equipment is the effect of the change in the capital services of machinery and equipment on productivity/the change in value added. The contribution of other capital is the effect of the change in all other capital than residential buildings, ICT, R&D, and capital services of machinery and equipment on productivity/the change in value change. The contribution of hours worked is the effect of the change in the number of hours worked on the change in value added. The contribution of the change in the quality of labour input is the effect of changes in the quality of labour force (age, gender, level of education) on productivity/the change in value added. The contribution of reallocation of labour input describes the movement of labour from one industry to another. The contribution of total productivity is derived as a residual when all other contributions related to the labour force and capital have been calculated and the change in productivity/value added is known. The contribution of total productivity (incl. the change in the quality of labour input) is the same as the contribution of total productivity, but the effect of the quality of labour input has also been eliminated. The contribution of intermediate consumption is the effect of the change in the volume of intermediate consumption on productivity/the change in output. The industry's contribution to the productivity of the whole economy is the industry's share of the change in the productivity of the whole economy when the industry's share of the value added/output of the whole economy is taken into consideration. Labour productivity index 1975 = 100 describes the growth in labour productivity relative to 1975. Change in volume, % (regardless of productivity type) Change in labour productivity, % (regardless of productivity type)
