Income concept: Disposable monetary income (incl. sales profits), per consumption unit and household-dwelling unit, main income items per household-dwelling unit.
Consumption unit scale : Eurostat's equivalence scale (1.0 - 0.5 - 0.3).
Due to revisions to income concepts the figures for 1995 to 2009 and 2010 onwards are not fully comparable with each other.

The Eurostat scale (the OECD's modified scale), where the first adult in the household is assigned a weight of 1, other individuals over 13 years old are assigned a weight of 0.5, and children are assigned a weight of 0.3 (ages 0-13)

3.1. Dividend income, mean

Dividend income covers dividends from publicly and non-publicly traded companies, dividend income from partnerships, dividend income from abroad, surpluses from cooperatives, and profit shares from investment funds.
Dividend income includes a tax-free portion of the dividend income.

3.3. Sales profits, mean

Sales profits = realized capital gains - losses (negative values have been set to zerot).
Includes taxable capital gains and tax-free capital gain, when the sales prices were under 1000 euros.

5. CURRENT TRANSFERS TOTAL, mean

Current transfers received (sub-times according to ESSPROS-classication).

5.3. Old age security, mean

Includes national pensions, occupational pensions, and guaranteed pensions as old-age pensions

5.5. Benefits for families with children, mean

Benefits for families with children include child allowances, parental allowances, home care support, and from 2010 onwards, maintenance support.

5.6. Unemployment security, mean

Includes basic unemployment allowance, labour market subsidy, earnings-related unemployment benefits, pension support, start-up money, training support, adult education support, and alternating compensation.

5.7. Housing benefits, mean

General housing allowance, housing allowance for pensioners and student housing supplement.

5.8. Student benefits, mean

Study benefits include taxable study grants, vocational qualification scholarships, as well as grants and study allowances. Conscript allowances are also included in study benefits. Withdrawn student loans are not included in study benefits

Other income security includes income support, military assistance, interest subsidy for student loans, taxable strike assistance, and register-based imputed received maintenance support
