The statistical method of the university sector was renewed in 2011. Universities' time use coefficients have been updated for years 2014, 2017 och 2021.
The data on the GDP share of R&D activities for 2021 and 2022 are preliminary.
R&D data for 2023: Estimate based on survey responses and other calculations. GDP for 2023: forecast by the Ministry of Finance.
Annual change in R&D expenditure in fixed prices has been calculated by price index of gross domestic product (2015=100)
